movie-to-dvd -V (return code: 1)
Illegal option --
Usage: movie-to-dvd [-r resolution] [-d display] [-f method]
[-a aspect] [-A src_aspect] [-m mode] [-c codec] [-q quality]
[-Q bitrate] [-o output_dir] [-M] [-b] [-O options]
movie [movie ...]
-r resolution Specify the DVD resolution. Possibilities are:
PAL: 720x576, 704x576, 352x576, 352x288
NTSC: 720x480, 704x480, 352x480, 352x240
You may specify 'auto' (default) for automatic selection.
-d display Specify how the video is to be fitted into the available
screen size, either 'letterbox' (default), which loses no
information, or 'panscan', which fills the entire screen but
possibly chops off edges of the video image.
-f method Specify how to change the movie to adjust its framerate if
necessary. You may specify either 'auto', 'video' or 'audio'.
'video' will duplicate or drop frames to adjust the framerate
(which will make the movie jerky in some situations), 'audio'
will adjust the pitch of the audio track so that it runs
synchronized with the movie. 'auto' will make the decision
for you.
-a aspect Either 16:9 or 4:3 (how to encode the video). Or you may
specify 'auto' (default) for automatic selection.
-A src_aspect Specify the aspect ratio of the source if it is not encoded
correctly in the source. The format is X:Y, for example 4:3 or
41:18. Or you may specify 'auto' (default) for automatic
detection from the source.
-m mode Either pal, ntsc or auto (default).
-c codec The audio codec, either 'mp2', 'ac3' or 'auto' (default).
Currently, the 'auto' setting always chooses 'ac3'.
-q quality Select either 'low', 'normal', 'high' or a bitrate in kilobits
per seconds. This is the MAXIMUM bitrate that the video encoder
will use.
-Q bitrate Controls the bitrate for the audio output. Normally, this
is automatically determined from the parameters of the output
audio format and the number of channel, but you can override
the automatically selected bitrate using this option. Specify
the number of kilobits per second that the audio should use.
You may combine this option with the -c option to force a
certain audio encoding. The default is 'auto', which means
autodetection.
-o output_dir Write the .m2v and .mp2/.ac3 files into an alternative
directory instead of the same directory in which the source(s)
reside.
-M Multiplex the output audio and video together (if you do not
specify this, an .m2v and .m2a file will be generated for each
input movie)
-b This tells mplayer that any AVI headers that are encountered
are broken and that they should be ignored when determining
the audio-video sync delay. This activates mplayer's -nobps
option.
-O options You may specify specific options to pass to mplayer. Be sure
to quote the options appropriately: the options should be
supplied surround by quotes, and the options should be entered
as they would have been on a normal mplayer command line.
